What You'll Do:
The Behavioral Health Specialist-Safety & Security is a dual-function role responsible for both front entrance security and direct care support within the units. During the first portion of the shift, the specialist manages front entrance safety by greeting and screening all visitors, ensuring compliance with facility safety protocols, and supporting a welcoming environment. After completing entrance security responsibilities, the specialist transitions to providing direct Behavioral Health Specialist support on the unit—assisting with daily living activities, monitoring safety, conducting vital signs, and documenting services in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). This role ensures both a secure facility environment and high-quality care for individuals served.
