Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

 

 

The Senior Director, Business Development, reporting directly to the Chief Growth and Development Officer, will lead the identification and analysis of growth opportunities, the development of go-to-market strategies, and the execution of all associated expansion efforts. This role is pivotal in driving Connections’ growth strategy through profitable partnership agreements, channel partnerships, and other strategic alliances, supporting sustainable expansion across new and existing markets.

 

  • Strategic Growth Vision: Partner with the Chief Growth and Development Officer to create a comprehensive, strategic vision for company expansion, aligning with Connections' value proposition, products, and market dynamics.
  • Annual Growth Planning and Forecasting: Direct cross-functional efforts in growth planning, financial modeling, and forecasting to guide the enterprise's annual strategy.
  • Growth Opportunity Assessment: Identify and evaluate multifaceted growth opportunities through RFPs, channel partnerships, joint ventures, and alliances to expand Connections' reach.  Identifies, assesses, and pursues multi-pronged growth approach leveraging RFPs, channel partnerships, joint ventures, and other alliances to secure expansion opportunities.
  • Revenue Enhancement via Product Development: Work with cross-functional leadership to identify and implement new product development strategies aimed at increasing revenue.
  • Budget Planning and Forecasting: Collaborate with finance leaders to plan, track, and forecast business development budgets, ensuring alignment with growth targets and managing budget variances.
  • Economic Analysis of Partnerships: Perform financial analysis for new contracts and partnerships in collaboration with finance teams, ensuring favorable unit economics.
  • Cross-Functional Growth Coordination: Align growth plans, timelines, and decisions with cross-functional leaders to support efficient operational planning and budgeting.
  • Managing the Business Development Department: Oversee the business development department, including directly managing and supporting directors to ensure alignment with strategic goals and effective execution of growth initiatives.
  • Business Development Tools and Presentations: Oversee the creation and refinement of business development presentations, partner marketing materials, and tools that enhance Connections’ market appeal.
  • Growth and Development Tools Implementation: Lead the adoption and optimization of business development tools, such as CRM systems and data analytics, to support growth objectives and value-based contracting strategies.
  • Market Analysis and Intelligence: Establish an analytics and market research center of excellence, delivering competitive intelligence to drive data-informed market expansion and engagement strategies.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field required
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, strategy, or growth roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity
  • Demonstrated understanding of healthcare, behavioral health, or managed care markets, including contracting and partnership models
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and developing high-performing departments
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, market analysis, and economic evaluation of partnerships
  • Ability to travel as needed to support business development initiatives and partnership negotiations
  • The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy. All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company’s exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment.
