Originally founded by two emergency room psychiatrists, Dr. Chris Carson and Dr. Robert Williamson, Connections Health Solutions brings 30 years of experience serving individuals in crisis and operates two of the nation’s largest and most studied crisis response centers and is currently expanding to more states.  Since opening our doors, we have provided care and treatment for hundreds of thousands of individuals in crisis.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

 

The Director, Floor Operations is responsible for the oversight and overall administrative operations of the assigned facility. This position is responsible for developing, planning and implementing administrative strategies to support patient care, program sustainability, and growth. The Senior Director, Floor Operations sets the tone, in partnership with the Senior Director of Clinical Services by role modeling professional behavior, collaboration, and a culture of accessibility, engagement, and support for the facility staff and a commitment to prioritizing patient outcomes, staff, and facility safety. 

 

  • Serves as the facility operational leader, under the direction of the Senior/VP of Clinical Services, and in collaboration with the Medical Director and Senior Director Clinical Services, to develop processes and procedures that support the facility’s clinical practices and goals. 
  • Acts as a key representative between the organization and the community and builds relationships to achieve the mission and strategic goals of the organization. Ensures that internal performance goals are set and reviewed and that these goals support the overall corporate mission and values while also being responsive to local community needs. Responds to MCOs and other external deliverables with timely and accurate data. 
  • Monitors the administrative activities at the facility and coordinates with executive and leadership teams to ensure the highest quality services are provided to individuals. 
  • Monitors flow throughout the facility and works with leadership partners when internal or external barriers to an individual’s movement are identified. 
  • Holds primary responsibility for Utilization and Revenue Cycle Management activities.
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to identify gaps and training opportunities. 
  • Directs and assumes accountability for adherence to staffing models and resource utilization tools. 
  • Collaborates with facility leaders to establish strategic goals and to support integration planning as the facility grows and develops to meet value-based innovations in crisis care. Develops, implements, and provides regular KPI reporting to ensure facility is meeting all operational and strategic goals and initiatives. 
  • Provides feedback to corporate shared services teams that are supporting facilities through projects looking at enhancing service line offerings, the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, or other enterprise applications and reporting. 
  • Builds and develops high performing teams. Performs people management responsibilities, including sourcing qualified talent, retention, development, and performance management of the staff in the department. 
  • Drives a highly effective operations culture to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of administrative processes to meet strict regulatory and established service levels. 
  • Participates and supports the planning, development, and implementation of clinical operations that deliver care that is timely, safe, effective, efficient, equitable, and recovery-oriented, in alignment with the Institute of Medicine’s aims for quality healthcare. 
  • Performs all other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Business, or related field 
  • 5 years of behavioral healthcare work experience
  • 5 years of managerial experience 
  • Knowledge of federal and state behavioral health or hospital operations and regulatory requirements 
  • Must be able to perform Safe Clinch restraint techniques
  • The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy. All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company’s exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment

It Would be Great if You Had:

 

  • Master’s degree in Social Services, Public Health, or related field 
  • Unrestricted active license as Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) in Washington State 
  • Experience in multi-services hospital environment with matrix reporting structures 
  • 5 years of administrative leadership in a crisis or other psychiatric care facility, demonstrating experience, and performance in carrying a broad set of projects and improving department performance

The typical hiring range for this role in Washington is $106,000 - $133,000 annually.
