Overview

***This is a Part-Time, MIXED shift position***

that will consist of 1 night shift during the week and 1 day shift on the weekend 

 12 hour shifts

 Day Shift = 7am - 7pm

Night Shift = 7pm - 7am

Originally founded by two emergency room psychiatrists, Dr. Chris Carson and Dr. Robert Williamson, Connections Health Solutions brings 30 years of experience serving individuals in crisis and operates two of the nation’s largest and most studied crisis response centers and is currently expanding to more states.  Since opening our doors, we have provided care and treatment for hundreds of thousands of individuals in crisis.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

 

The Behavioral Health, Shift Supervisor provides operational and administrative oversight of the facility on assigned shifts or units with a focus on processes and ensuring the most efficient care of patients and resources.  Ensures that individuals in crisis move through the facility to the appropriate level of care.

  • Oversees the operation of the assigned unit and shift to ensure the clinical team is operating efficiently, smoothly, and consistently to support high-quality clinical care and outcomes.
  • Oversees the operation, organization, and flow of patients through the unit and facility; including but not limited to delegating work assignments for all disciplines, and supporting admissions, transfers, and discharges to and from the unit. Acts as the onsite resource for the clinical staff, individuals, family members, or community stakeholders.
  • Responsible for ensuring all clinical staff are following Utilization Management and Revenue Cycle Management guidelines to ensure correct coding and billing of services.
  • Manages escalated concerns/problems from internal and external stakeholders. Actively assesses and manages barriers that impact flow through the facility.
  • Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, all standards of practice, and the requirements of regulatory and accreditation agencies.
  • Assists with training and orientation of new staff to unit processes and procedures. Partners with discipline manager to ensure full orientation to position.
  • Utilizes de-escalation procedures and theories to assist in providing a safe milieu. Utilizes skills effectively to describe and demonstrate roles and responsibilities relative to safety.
  • Partners with clinical and administrative managers to identify and manage performance and behavior issues.
  • Is trained in and able to perform Safe Clinch techniques and provide oversight and guidance.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a direct clinical care provider in Nursing, Social Services, Administrative, or Milieu support (BHS/RSS)
  • 2 years of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to encourage cross-functional and multi-disciplinary partnership
  • Working understanding of utilization management and revenue cycle management in the behavioral health setting
  • The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy. All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company’s exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment
  • Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Card for the State of Washington (BHS/RSS positions)

 

It Would Be Great if You Had:

  • At least 2 years of clinical work experience in a crisis behavioral health setting
  • 3 years of leadership experience

The typical hiring range for this role in Washington is $38.50 -$44.00 hourly.
